The Dock Street School for STEAM Studies occupies the second floor of a mixed use building in the DUMBO neighborhood of Brooklyn. The school is a fully air-conditioned, accessible facility for students in grades six through eight. This new school contains eleven standard classrooms and one district special education classroom. Included in the facility is a science lab with an adjoining prep room, an art classroom, a gymatorium, a music suite with soundproofed practice rooms, a library, and guidance and medical suites. There is a full kitchen and cafeteria for students, a staff lunch room, and an administrative suite
