The new addition to PS 101 is a fully air-conditioned, accessible, 4-story building for 456 students in pre-kindergarten through fifth grade. The addition will provide 14 classrooms, two special education classrooms, two new art rooms with storage space, a new music room with instrument storage space, and a new science resource room. The addition also contains a new accessible entrance, cafeteria and kitchen, new library, speech and resource rooms, and guidance and medical suites. New recreational spaces include a new entrance courtyard, two rooftop play yards, a new exercise room, and a dance room with a sprung wood floor and barre.
