P.S. 143 addition is a five-story, fully air-conditioned, accessible facility for students in kindergarten through fifth grades. The addition includes eleven kindergarten classrooms, twenty-two standard classrooms, as well as six district special education classrooms. There will also be three art rooms, two science resource rooms, a dance room, and an exercise room. The facility will include a new library, guidance, and administration suites, as well as a new cafeteria and kitchen. Improvements to the main building include one pre-kindergarten classroom, two standard classrooms, one district special education classroom and two music classrooms. There will also be a medical suite, and a parent room. Outdoor improvements include an early childhood playground as well as a reading garden, handball, and basketball courts
