The P.S. 97 Addition is a new four-story, air-conditioned, fully accessible building for students in grades pre-K through fifth. The building includes two pre-K, one kindergarten, eighteen regular classrooms in addition to two special education classrooms and three reading/speech rooms. The building also includes an art room, a project room, a science room, and a music room. It contains a library, a new student dining area, a kitchen complex, a staff lunch/conference room, an administrative suite, and medical and guidance suites. Recreational spaces include a gymatorium and an early childhood playground area.
