Vargas-Suarez Universal, Panorama, 2017, oil and enamel on canvas in eight parts, PS/IS 191 Riverside School for Makers and Artists, Manhattan Artist Vargas-Suarez Universal created two artworks for PS/IS 191 Riverside School for Makers and Artists in Manhattan, Celestial Mechanics and Panorama . Located on the second and third floors is Panorama , an abstract porcelain mosaic mural. The artwork depicts a series of blue, white and black pixelated lines that zigzag to form abstract patterns. The network of lines and vectors were designed using mathematical systems in relation to the surrounding architecture. The piece is suggestive an array of subjects, including urban planning, architecture schematics and video games.
